Q. What happens if you don't raise the full $250,000 by the December 9th deadline?

A. We will exhaust every avenue to prevent this deal from failing. If by December 2010 we have not raised enough to save the entire 313 acres, we can attempt to re-negotiate to save what we can of this land or act to protect other forestland. The Society will continue to pursue its broader vision while respecting the tenets of the society. 

Q. What will happen to the land once you purchase it?

A. When we are successful in closing the purchase and sale agreement with Wagner Forest NS in December of 2010, this land will forever be protected and subject to the tenets of our Society. Our motivation to save this land is inspired by a deep ecological philosophy that seeks to live in better harmony with the earth's processes and balance the needs of human and non-human communities.
